looks like I will have to create the report manually, this is time consuming effort.

Hi,
there is no Public Way.
It's best to contact support if you don't have one, try what I sent as a private email.
Cali
The task scheduler for some reason is kicking off every ~3 seconds trying to update today... our other 1060 isn't doing this...
does ANYONE have an idea how to fix this? had to disable the email alerts as it was firing an alert email that it cant connect / parse update about every ~15 minutes
Please, please, please Log a support case and DM me the ticket #.
This is an issue we are seeing on the backend but can not re-create which is hampering resolution. We will need logs.

In DISKPART check your SAN policy. By default DIskpart has the SAN policy as 'offlineall'. When you turned the server back on/reconnected it may have detected the SAN disk as "new" and kept it offline.
Open a Command Prompt
Run Diskpart.exe
Type: SAN
Defaulting to OFFLINE is a safety measure. If a volume gets mapped to the wrong host accidentally Windows is very aggressive in taking ownership and overwriting the file system/partition metadata and wiping data.
Have sent you through the support case #, lets see if we can get an outcome
Thank you for your response.
However, in all 3 cases below, the disk stayed online.
1. reboot server only: disk stayed online
2. shut down server -> restart SC -> boot server: disk remains online
3. shut down server -> shut down storage -> boot storage -> boot server: disk remains online
So the SAN settings in diskpart don't mean much, do they? I understand that offline is the default setting to be safe. But in general, if there are no additional storage connections, the disk will appear online.
Hi all, We have an MSA2060 with 12 x 7,2K drives and 2 disk groups in Raid5. we are using for these purposes:
- VMs data stores. DG01
- Remote site backup storage. DG01
- Disaster recovery with VMWare Site Recovery. DG02
We are experiencing high latency events, remote backups are not being completed and timeout errors under site recovery system. I suspect 7,2K drives are the problem. Could someone confirm?
This is a normal usage of the disks:
In HPE MSA2060 FC

Hello@y-tanaka0805,
You may reset and set the cipher suite using the commands below:
set ciphers list <cipher-string> and
reset ciphers
Please verify the link below for more information about Ciphers:

I too am unable to upload logs and get the error. This happens for an MSA 1060 and MSA 2060. It works ok for a 1040 and 2040. I reached out to MSAHealthCheckSupport email weeks ago but got no reply or help from them which is very dissapointing. Seems like the MSA1060/2060 are very unstable which I'll create seperate threads about.
I notice on the 2060 there is an active health alert "The controller is not operational." for controller a but the system health is all ok. I have acknoledged it but it remains on the dashboard. The hardware screen suggests both controllers are opeerational. system health is good.
I get the feeling the MSA1060 and MSA2060 are buggy compared to the 1040/2040. I've noticed random issues with these as I have been setting them up. Some of the issues I've noticed:
Generally just a bad experience so far with the new generation of MSA's and lack of help/replies from the MSA health check team (yeah thats another issue that you cannot upload logs of a 1060 or 2060 to the msa health check site)
So I have just bought a new MSA 2062. All the drives are installed, powered it on for the first time. It starts up ok, and gets an Ip from my DHCP and I can access the web ui
It shows me a screen
"Storage Management Utility
We will guide you through the first-time setup of your system. Click the Get Started button to begin the process."
So I click "Get Started" and it moves through to the Initial configuration screen where I must "Set a new username and password to manage this system".
So I type in a username, and a password and click Apply and Continue. I then get a popup saying that the user has been created successfully. And thats as far as I get. I am then prompted with a sign in screen. I sign in with the new account, and it just says account not recognised.
If I reload the browser, its just rinse and repeat the same Welcome screen. Putty is refusing to connect via the USB port on either controller, though it does show as a device in device manager.
Any ideas? From my perspective it looks like it isn't even created the user that it claims have been created.
Hello@Emexrulsier,
When you create a new user, make sure the Manage role is enabled.
Please have a look at the document below for more information about user settings.

Generally, you may log in with your new user credentials immediately, if you are facing any issues with login, refresh the browser and try again.
Hope this helps!
