MSA 2050 storage architecture is virtualized based. The supported RAID levels run only in virtual mode and not linear. Thus, only virtual volumes can be created and not linear volume ( traditional RAID volume).
The release of SRA ( Storage Replication Adapter) feature supports only with the linear volumes. MSA 1040/2040 storage models have this functionality.
The SRA supports MSA 1040/2040 GL220 on the newer firmware but only when using the Remote Snap replication feature, which remains unchanged.
With MSA 2050/1050 storage models only the virtual volumes get configured and not linear volumes.
